Product Updates: Interior inspection and trip notifications

Based on your feedback, we’ve introduced some new features to the app to ensure you and your customers get the best experience on Getaround.

🔬 Interior check-in


At the beginning of a rental, the driver’s check-in is now a more extensive process and includes:

  • A cleanliness inspection

  • An interior damage inspection (including the windshield)

Drivers can now provide photos of the exterior and interior condition of your car before the rental starts. 

This additional step allows for a more accurate comparison of the car’s condition before and after the rental in case of a dispute.

 

⛽️ Low-fuel notification

When a driver reaches a low level of fuel, they’ll be notified and informed that they’ll be charged for the amount they used if they don’t refuel the car before returning it. This helps drivers understand in case they’re charged for a fuel adjustment after their rental is over.

🧭 Mileage warning notification

In order to reduce misunderstanding related to post-rental mileage adjustments, drivers will now receive a notification when they’re close to reaching the mileage limit: when they’ve driven more than 80% of the included miles/kilometres at more than 80% of the rental duration.
